  • Dogs must be leashed. Arapaho Glacier Trail is a 12.5 mile moderate out and back trail located near Nederland, CO that is accessible from April until October.

From Boulder, take Boulder Canyon (Highway 119) west to Nederland. From downtown Nederland, go south on Highway 72 for .5 miles to County Road 130 and make a right. You will see a sign for Eldora Ski Resort. Continue on Highway 130 through the town of Eldora and just past it, the road will become a dirt road. Continue on this dirt road and pass the Hessie Trailhead for another 4.8 miles. You will arrive at the Buckingham Campground parking lot and the Fourth of the July Trailhead is on the upper side of the parking lot. The road has quite a few potholes and can be pretty rough, if you have a 4WD vehicle or all-wheel drive, high clearance vehicle, it will definitely serve you well here. Otherwise, most 2WD vehicles in good condition will work.
