  • Coy and Rachael met in 2012, and before there was even any discussion of getting married, they shared their dreams of opening their own restaurant. Coy grew up on a farm in Texas and enjoyed smoking meats in the backyard with his father, using pecan wood from the trees on the farm. He became a classically trained chef and worked in many kitchens all over the country, but his passion has always been Bar-B-Que.

    Colorado born Rachael has worked in various casual to fine dining restaurants since she was 15. She also has a Bar-B-Que tradition in her family. In the 1950s her Grandpa opened Cy’s BBQ Pit in Eureka, IL. He butchered and smoked meats in a homemade pit at their farm, while her Grandma made potato salad to accompany the meal.

    Less than a year after getting married in May 2014, they made their dream a reality by buying a small burger restaurant on Downing St. and have since transformed it into Roaming Buffalo Bar-B-Que. They look forward to the opportunity to serve you!
